Training and support during your placement

Complete the Nanny Application form
Complete the Nanny Application form and send us your resume if you think you meet the requirements to become a Sonen Nanny. We will review the application closely and determine if you are a potential member of our team.
We will invite you for a virtual or in person interview to learn more about you, your background, what you are looking for in a family and answer any questions you may have.

We verify references and complete background checks
After a successful interview, we will check your references and go through a full background check to confirm that you meet the requirements to become an amazing Sonen nanny.

We connect you with families
Once we know you, your profile and your preferences, we will match you with families that are looking for someone like you. We will share your profile with the families, and organise interviews. Our team of professionals will support you throughout the process.

We support you through the hiring process
After you are chosen by a family, we will help you through the negotiation of your salary and conditions of employment, and ensure everything is agreeable to both parties.

We provide you with free training in respectful childcare
Once you have been placed with a family, we will provide you with our Sonen training about the principles of nurturing and respectful parenting (based on the Montessori system and others) and practical aspects of working in a private home.
To be sure you have the most important information about the family before you start working, we will provide you the “Sonen Nanny folder” and emergency forms completed by the family.

Follow Up
After you are hired, we will answer any questions you may have by making an appointment, and we will provide ongoing professional support to ensure that the relationship between you and the family is great.
